In an unprecedented, never-before-seen move, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is opening on Thanksgiving Day for the 2013-2014 ski season.
Pop that Turkey in the oven and head out to one unforgettable Thanksgiving day at the iconic resort. It’s the biggest news around town this year. Jackson Hole has never opened on anything other than a standard Saturday, let alone a Friday (and free at that), and this year, it’s the real deal meal ticket of all JHMR time. While it’s no Macy’s Day Parade out here on the ‘white strip of death,’ the rather bountiful pre-opening snowfall looks promising for a grander opening than expected. And if that is, in fact, the case, you can be sure the only thing floating will be people through powder and tram cars and gondolas through the sky.
Thanksgiving day in Jackson Hole- and throughout the weekend- will be a great time to celebrate and give thanks for the good life here in the Tetons. There’s loads going on. Locals are sure to flock to the slopes for Friday’s celebratory Community Ski Free Day, provocative PEEP Show, Town Lighting and so much more.
Follow the fun here and see you on Apres Vous with friends, family and Turkey’s in tow!
