Get ready to enter the white room Friday for…Grand Targhee’s Opening Day.  They’ll be spinning those lifts and the early birds will be getting a solid start to powder skiing for the 2013-2014  season.

Our favorite neighbors over the hill offer excellent access to uncrowded, pristine and wildly scenic slopes. Targhee’s opening one week prior to Jackson Hole Mountain Resort makes for one heck of a warm-up and, quite frankly, typically offers an exceptionally solid start in comparison to the first days over in Jackson Hole.

It might be worthwhile to blow that Friday five o’clock whistle a bit early, round up a gang of pals or kiddos and head directly to the Dreamcatcher Lift and start the first real winter weekend off properly. Drinks at the Trap bar after your little turn sesh is the perfect topper to what promises to beautiful weekend of skiing in Idaho.
