Some classically fun summer pursuits in downtown Jackson and Wilson this weekend. Nothing says summer in Jackson Hole like the Art Association’s roundup of amazing local art in the center of town, at least not until we’re also talking about fried chicken. You heard right, this weekend you can all at once get your sophisticated art fix and also get down and dirty with the best picnic in town. Tour regional artists booths offering everything from knotty pine furniture and fine oil paintings and then, when you’re done with that, be sure to support your local firehouse and attend the annual Chicken Fry at the confluence of HWY 22 and Teton Village Rd affectionately known as the Stilson lot. In contrast here, get those fingertips greasy, enjoy a beer in a shady cottonwood grove and top it all off with some homemade pies. Fried chicken is served up by our local firefighters who lure the town in with the simple call: we come to your fire, now come to our fry.
