Now we’re talking…Terrain. Opening Day:

The Big One is Opening Up Part of the Shop on Thanksgiving

The Big One is Opening Up Part of the Shop on Thanksgiving

Straight from the Jackson Hole Mountain Resort squack box:

“Jackson Hole Mountain Resort will open on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, November 28th with almost 3,000 vertical feet of beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain thanks to a combination of great early season snowfall on the upper mountain and snowmaking on the lower slopes.

This holiday weekend, the resort will operate Après Vous, Casper, Marmot and Teewinot chairlifts, and the Bronco Terrain Park will also open with multiple features. More snow is in the forecast for the weekend, so stay tuned for additional terrain openings in the near future.

Don’t forget about the FREE Community Ski Day on Friday, November 29th. See you on the hill!”

Check out Jackson Hole’s weekend calendar and buckle up those ski boots.

That’s a pretty solid start right there. Means skiers of all varietals, especially those who aren’t afraid to traverse a little, will be able to (in the words of a famous local ski bum) ‘tattoo’ up the mountain before they sit down to a traditional meal. This year, it’s all about turns and then Turkey, most likely in that order. But would like to take an opportunity to give thanks to Jackson Hole for spreading the love and stoke, taking the black out of Friday and turning it around that pristine white with a free lift access all day.
